Papers of Carolyn Wells, 1901-1937.

The papers contain the manuscript of a poem "The thoughtful yardstick." Correspondence consists chiefly of letters between Wells and William Alexander of "Ladies' Home Journal" and William Gerard Chapman and James Smith of the International Press Bureau concerning serialization of her work, the possibility of a regular humor column, terms, rates, payments, second serial rignts, an anthology she is compiling and ideas for stories. There are also five portraits of Wells clipped from magazines.
